DIY friendship bracelet

See Harry's bracelet? [x]
This idea is inspired by the Links of
London's friendship bracelet, which are very popular right now. The same bracelets
British/Irish boyband One Direction wear. Currently I am trying to figure out how to make one more like the real ones, (did I mention that the real ones sell for about $250?) without having to make my own metal posts, I have an idea but because I have none of the supplies, here is a different one until I succeed with that.

*this is my very first DIY post, so if it seems too confusing or anything please tell me in the comments*

You will need:
Embroidery floss
One 24" silver ball chain necklace
1 silver bead that will be big enough to thread both ends of the bracelet through, the size of the bead depends on the bracelet size.
A needle and thread
Optional: 2 little beads to be used for the ends, I just made knots.

First you will need to make a plain friendship bracelet out of embroidery floss, if you do not know how to click here. Mine is 7 strands.

Once you have your bracelet line the end of the ball chain necklace up to the end of the bracelet like this

Now you can start sewing it on, two stitches per gap.

When you reach the end of the bracelet you will need to tie off the string and cut the ball chain. The rest of the ball chain will be for the other side. Do the same thing for the other side.

Once you are done with both sides it should look like this

You can do whatever you want for the extra end pieces, I did a unicorn braid. Just twist both sides to the right then twist together to the left, it should look like this.

Now you will need the bigger bead, thread both ends through it like this

Make sure it isn't too loose or the bracelet will just become too loose.

To finish it off either knot the ends or add beads, then just trim the excess strings and voila! You have your own DIY bracelet like Harry Styles' bracelet.

I hope you enjoyed my very first DIY post!

Quackniss Everwing the Duck on Fire

Well I'm back! Yeah, I've been really busy so I haven't had time to blog. But it's summer time so I can again. So far my summer has been pretty good, reading all day, Cedar Point, beaches, reading all night, leisurely swimming. Fun stuff.

Anyway, back to the original topic. A Hunger Games rubber duck, Quackniss! I recently bought a paint your own rubber duck kit and this happened. I probably love The Hunger Games a bit too much.

I'm pretty happy with it, I collect rubber ducks so this is a unique piece. I've even found where I can buy a bunch of the plain rubber ducks so I could possibly start selling them on Etsy or something. But who knows.
